A Challenge is similar to a Competition, but is associated with the individual participant only.

Example

A personal Challenge is achieved when the participant picks 5000 cartons.

A Challenge has one or multiple Levels. These Levels allow the Challenge to gradually increase in difficulty.

Example

Entry Level is reached after the first pick, Beginner Level is reached at 500 cartons, Intermediate at 1000 cartons, and so on…

When a Challenge Level is reached, the participant will be presented with a Trophy. Like Medals, a Trophy can also have a reward associated with it, determined by the game organiser.

Defining a new Challenge involves maintaining the following objects:

  • A Participation Type which is used to define whether the Challenge is automatically available to all users, manually assigned to a user, or manually selected by an applicable user.

  • A Metric configuration which defines what the Challenge will be evaluating.

  • One or multiple Levels, each with a unique Goal at which point the sub-Challenge finishes and a Trophy is awarded to the user.

  • The Timeframe during which the Challenge is valid. This can either be open ended or defined within a specific start and end period.

Create a new challenge

From the EWM warehouse monitor, double click on node Games > Challenges and click on Execute in the selection popup:

From the Challenges report toolbar, click on More Methods > Create Challenge:
