Voice

The PreBilt EWM framework supports voice-operated flows, such as pick-by-voice scenarios, by integrating to third-party. This functionality runs in a separate layer to the RF (with different frontend input/output classes) but can be customised using the same framework with transaction code /TCTM/EWM_CFG.

The PreBilt voice engine evaluates each field in a logical step/screen in sequence, as defined in customising. This can be used to trigger different commands, such as verbal prompts and instructions like "go to a storage bin". These prompts can also request a spoken input from the operator, such as asking them to confirm a quantity or location. The commands are largely dependent on the functions supported by external third-party systems.

The framework is highly configurable and can set up voice-enablement for any RF transaction with ease.

Prerequisite

There is an assumption that the reader is familiarised with standard EWM RF framework elements, such as display profiles, presentation devices, logical transactions, steps and function codes.
