Functionality

The following standard functionality is in scope for General Postings:

• Document management:

  • Display material document (all movement types)

  • Cancel material document (where SAP supports a reversal movement type)

• Goods Issue:

  • Goods issue to cost centre (movement type 201)

  • Goods issue to service order (movement type 261)

    • Planned (selection from list of order items)

    • Unplanned (assigning order number when processing item)

  • Stock write off (scrapping)

    • Unrestricted stock (movement type 551)

    • Quality stock (movement type 553)

    • Blocked stock (movement type 555)

  • Goods issue to other order types such as production order, process order, maintenance order (movement type 261)

    • Unplanned (assigning order number when processing item, order category must be defined in AMD)

• Transfer Posting:

  • Transfer posting stock status change:

    • Unrestricted to blocked (movement type 344)

    • Unrestricted to quality (movement type 322)

    • Blocked to unrestricted (movement type 343)

    • Blocked to quality (movement type 349)

    • Quality to unrestricted (movement type 321)

    • Quality to blocked (movement type 350)

  • Transfer posting storage location to storage location (one-step) (movement type 311)

  • Transfer posting plant to plant (one-step) (movement type 301)

  • Transfer posting material to material (one-step) (movement type 309)

• Multiple materials can be placed into a basket, to be processed on the same material document, or they can be posted immediately as a single material document item. Separate baskets can be managed for each action and type combination eg: Goods issue to cost centre, goods issue write off, and posting changes.

• GR/GI Slip printing versions – based on condition records maintained in SAP.

• Integration with serial number capture app.

• Integration with IM Multi Bin Management.

• Integration with stock enquiry app.

• Enhanced basket functionality to provide flexibility on ways to update the basket, and basket quantity information, when selecting from a list of items on an order or reservation.

• Processing of special stocks.

• Creation of a transfer order using the source storage type and bin when jumping from Stock Enquiry to issue stock from a WM managed storage location.

• Jumping to Stock Movement – Catalogue number 510 - to confirm a transfer order (if configured in AMD) for transfer orders linked to the transfer requirement created by the posting. The transfer orders can either be created automatically in the background in SAP or by the general posting app itself. This functionality is only relevant when SPRO configuration for the storage type has been completed to confirm putaway or removal.

• Goods receipt of a production order or process order.

• Posting goods movements for handling units as supported by SAP transaction VLMOVE.

  • As per the standard SAP transacion VLMOVE, the serial numbers of the material on the handling unit are not verified in the app: they are associated with and transfer with the handling unit.

• Creation of a transfer order using the destination storage type and bin entered in the app when transferring stock from an IM managed storage location to a WM managed storage location.
