Warehouses

The PreBilt for IM/WM apps are designed to work seamlessly with both Warehouse Management (WM) and Inventory Management (IM) solutions. The IM solutions are modeled after the WM solutions and adopt the same concept of a 'warehouse,' comprising plant and storage locations.

Warehouse management solutions

Enter edit mode in transaction /TCTM/WM_CFG by clicking the 'Display -> Change' button, and then 'New Entries'.

Select 'Warehouses' from the Dialog Structure on the left of the screen and add the existing SAP WM warehouses in to the table. (The warehouse description will be added automatically when the entry is saved.)

Inventory management solutions

IM warehouses (that are a unique feature of PreBilt) can be added in the same way as WM warehouses above but a description should also be added.

An IM warehouse typically represents an operation, site or group of operators that is/are responsible for a unique set of plants and storage locations, which will be subsequently assigned to the IM warehouse.

Note

The new IM PreBilt warehouse numbers must not exist as WM or EWM warehouses and so care should be taken in considering the 3-digit code to ensure that there are no conflicts in the future with potential WM warehouses.
