Overview

To complete the setup of PreBilt for IM/WM/StRM, two key components are required: App Configuration and App Master Data (AMD).

PreBilt requires some mandatory configuration steps to be completed using transaction /TCTM/WM_CFG. These steps include:

  • Adding warehouses.

  • Defining warehouse assignments for inventory-managed-only implementations.

  • Creating and maintaining the transactions executed in PreBilt.

  • Creating and managing the menus used by users to navigate PreBilt.

Additionally, there are optional configuration steps for:

  • Setting up text overrides.

  • Defining custom messages.

  • Configuring barcode decoder functionality.

  • Applying settings specific to certain device types.

Configuration related to specific transactions can be loaded as a Business Configuration Set (BC Set). BC Sets allow configuration settings, such as table entries, to be saved into a single object and then subsequently loaded into a target system.

BC Sets will be provided for the initial configuration to create a template set of app transactions and other default configuration as required. By activating a BC Set in a target system, all stored settings are applied automatically, minimising manual configuration effort and ensuring consistency. See the section on using BC sets to load configuration.
