Warehouse assignments

After warehouses are created, plants and storage locations can be assigned to them.

Enter edit mode in transaction /TCTM/WM_CFG by clicking the 'Display -> Change' button, and then 'New Entries'.

Select 'Warehouse Assignments' from the Dialog Structure on the left of the screen and add the required plant, storage location and warehouse. Click 'Save' when all the assignments have been added to save your changes.

Note

  1. Existing plant and storage location assignments already configured in standard SAP WM do not need to be added again.

  2. Additional IM plant and storage location combinations can be added to an existing WM warehouse, if required, so that PreBilt can support processing data from both the WM and IM locations.

  3. For Inventory Management (IM) warehouses, add all the plants and storage locations that are required and assign them to the required warehouse.

Using warehouses, plants and storage locations in apps

PreBilt IM/WM transactions work based on the user being logged into a warehouse, which is linked to specific plants and storage locations.

  1. Dropdown Validation:

    • Whenever plants and storage locations are validated or displayed in dropdowns, they are based on the warehouse mappings:

      • IM Warehouses: Mapped in table /TCTM/WM_WA.

      • WM Warehouses: Mapped in table T320.

  2. Filtering Options:

    • If only certain plants or storage locations should apply to a transaction, filters in the app configuration or master data setup can restrict the list.

  3. IM Transactions:

    • Plants and storage locations can be excluded from a warehouse assignment using the transaction /TCTM/WM_CFG.
