# Upload AMD

**Note**

Uploading AMD should be done after the transaction to which it pertains has already been created, either by [creating the transaction directly in transaction */TCTM/WM\_CFG*](/prebilt-for-pm/configuration-guide/transaction-codes.md) or by [importing and activating a BC set](/prebilt-for-pm/configuration-guide/bc-sets.md#importing-a-bc-set).

The initial / baseline AMD required to correctly configure PreBilt in the first instance is provided by TCT and is available for each release.

To upload AMD, go to transaction */TCTM/WM\_CFG\_D*. Enter the transaction you want to upload the AMD to in the 'Transaction Code' field and click the 'Upload Entries' button.

**Note**

As of release 5.7.0, the AMD updates can now use wildcards (\*) in the transaction code so that multiple transactions can all be updated at the same time from a file containing all the app transactions. Only the transaction codes that match the wildcard  settings will be extracted from the upload file (which can contain many app transactions).

Select the file from its saved location and you will be prompted with an 'Overwrite Confirmation' selection. Select 'Yes'.

**Note**

This confirmation is required to overwrite existing entries which are updated at the configuration element level. If "Overwrite Confirmation" is not selected then only empty/blank configuration elements will be updated. If the "Overwrite Confirmation" is selected then all the entries within a particular configuration element will be replaced by what is in the AMD upload file.

You will receive a green 'Entries uploaded successfully' confirmation.  Pressing the 'Execute' icon at the top of the screen will display the uploaded AMD.
