# App texts

These app master data settings are used to maintain text that is already programmed within the app for text that is not field labels on a screen. Typically, these are screen titles or filter bar hint text.

All apps will be provided with the configuration option APP\_TEXTS and it will be setup as a String List with a ‘Text ID’ and ‘Text Value’ column:

The required app texts are provided in the core package as text overrides from the global defaults app transaction “\_GLOBAL\_DEFAULTS” but can be changed if and when required.

Pressing F1 on a particular “Text” will display the currently maintained text for that Text ID.
