Description

QA11

Record usage decision

The following standard functionality is in scope for Picking:

  • Generic functionality:

    • Selection of inspection lots for Usage Decision (UD) processing using multiple criteria such as plant, inspection lot, material (full and partial search), batch, vendor, manufacturer, lot creation date, and inspection start date.

    • Validation of plant, material, batch, vendor, manufacturer, and inspection lot values during selection, including verification of EANs and date‑range logic.

    • Display of inspection lots in a configurable worklist, with fields sourced from structures such as QALS and QAVE, including material, vendor, manufacturer, and inspection lot counts.

    • Ability to jump directly into the app with a preselected inspection lot when launched from the QI Results Recording app (560), bypassing the selection screen.

  • Usage decision processing:

    • Support for recording complete or partial usage decisions for a selected inspection lot.

    • Selection of Usage Decision Code and Code Group, with SAP‑standard behaviour for populating the valuation code, quality score, and follow‑up action fields, mirroring transaction QA11.

    • Error handling when invalid or missing usage decision values are entered.

    • Ability to capture long text for the usage decision using a dedicated long‑text screen (identical to long‑text behaviour in transaction QA11).

  • Stock posting behaviour:

    • Input and posting of stock quantities to Unrestricted‑Use and/or Blocked Stock, as per standard QA11 UD posting.

    • Validation ensuring that the total quantity posted cannot exceed the lot quantity minus previously posted amounts.

    • “Proposal” action to automatically populate the unrestricted‑use quantity with the remaining stock still requiring UD posting.

    • Final posting of the usage decision along with quantity movements back to SAP.

The following actions can be completed by linking to other apps (full details of the functionality available can be found in the app overview guide for the referenced app):

  • Ability to call the Document Capture app (App 602) to attach images or signatures to the inspection lot (object type BUS2045).

  • Support for capturing images at both the UD‑entry screen and long‑text screen via the DOCUMENT_CAPTURE action.
