Exceptions

This section explains the processes that the Usage Decision app does not currently cover.

• Handling units (HUs) within WM SUM storage types – the app does not support entering or managing stock keeping units / storage units (SU) for inspection lots stored in WM SUM locations.

• Post Change Notice processing – after posting a usage decision, the app does not trigger or support any automatic Post Change Notice processing for inspection lots in WM SUM storage types.

• Creation or modification of inspection lots – the app only records usage decisions; it does not create, update, or manage inspection lots themselves.

• Recording of inspection results – results entry or characteristic-level recording (as handled in App 560) is outside the scope of this app. The user must complete all results before performing a usage decision.

• Advanced quantity handling beyond UD posting – only unrestricted-use and blocked stock postings are supported; no additional stock categories or follow-up movement types are included.

• Any WM or IM movement creation – the app does not create transfer requirements, transfer orders, or other warehouse management documents. Posting is limited to the QA11 usage decision movement logic.

• Workflow, notifications, or automated follow-up actions – the app does not issue alerts, start workflows, or automate follow-on processes such as quality score recalculation outside of what SAP does natively during UD posting.

• Printing or output forms – the app does not generate or print UD‑related documents, labels, or reports.

• Editing or displaying SAP long texts outside the UD long-text function – only usage‑decision long text is supported; other inspection-lot or characteristic long texts cannot be edited here.
