The following standard functionality is in scope for Results Recording:
Generic functionality
Selection of inspection lots using multiple criteria, including material, batch, vendor, manufacturer, date ranges, and inspection lot number.
Support for partial‑value search using F4 search help for materials and vendors.
Navigation through inspection lots, operations, and characteristics depending on the number of matches returned.
Display of inspection lot, operation and characteristic details on list screens, including status, result, attribute and closed indicators.
Flexible sorting and configurable list layouts based on App Master Data settings.
Recording of inspected quantities, results, attributes, inspection descriptions, and long text.
Ability to close characteristics during results entry, preventing further updates.
Capture of long text for characteristics beyond the 40‑character short description limit.
Posting of results using digital signature validation (username, password, remark, comment).
Display of the signed‑off user as the digital signatory in alignment with SAP DSAL records.
Integrated navigation / cross‑app functionality
The following actions can be completed by linking to other apps (full details of the functionality available can be found in the app overview guide for the referenced app):
A direct jump from the Inspection Lot Overview app (561) into the operation list for the selected inspection lot.
A direct jump to the Usage Decision app (562) once results recording is complete.
Optional jump to Document Capture for attaching images or files to the inspection lot or characteristic.
Configuration‑dependent behaviour
Field availability, mandatory settings, screen layout and filter options fully controlled via App Master Data and configuration structures (D/E/H/B/C).
Material search logic based on MATERIAL_SEARCH_SEQ, supporting search by number, description or EAN.
Customisable remark lists and text labels via static lists and APP_TEXTS.
