Exceptions

This section explains the processes that the Picking and Packing app does not currently cover.

• Creation or modification of inspection lots.

• Creation of operations or characteristics (master data must already exist).

• Automatic derivation or update of sampling procedures or inspection specifications.

• Batch characteristic display or validation beyond recording the attribute/result fields provided.

• Any form of usage decision processing (handled in App 562).

• Printing or output of inspection documentation.

• Handling unit processing, packing or logistics‑execution functions.

• Posting of goods movements related to inspection results.

• Integration with shop‑floor automation, scanning frameworks beyond standard field input, or custom barcode handling unless separately configured.

• Updates to SAP long texts outside of the characteristic long‑text function provided.

• Reversal of posted results or digital signatures (must be done via standard SAP transactions if required).
