Functionality

This version of Image and Signature Capture (similar to the other Document Capture app 602) integrates with GOS (Generic Object Services), though it can be modified to work with other services upon request. For more details on using GOS to create, display, and attach documents to SAP objects, refer to SAP OSS Note 530792. This note provides additional information, including system table references related to document storage and processing.

This simplified version of Image and Signature Capture app offers functionality to manage images and signatures effectively.

Users can:

• Manage Images: Display existing captured images, capture or upload new images, and delete images as needed.

• Manage Signatures: Capture a single signature.

The app also provides flexible configuration options:

• A separate transaction is required for image capture and signature capture.

• Set utilities as mandatory, ensuring that at least one image or signature must be captured.

• Limit the maximum number of items that can be captured for images.

File Attachment Capabilities:

Attachments for images and signature can be linked to specific SAP objects:

• When Integrated with PreBilt Transactions: Files can be attached to materials documents created by the General Postings app (and if using the plant maintenance product PreBilt for PM, maintenance notifications and work orders).

• When Using Standalone Mode: This is currently not supported. Use the the standard Document Capture app 602 to display the attachments once the documents are created.
