Note

This user guide refers to PreBilt transactions beginning 'PB2_' and details the standard process without additional features or enhancements. You should copy these transactions with a different prefix to maintain a backup and protect the originals.

This section covers transaction PB2_BARCODE_DECODER.

Selection

Enter the required barcode manually or by scanning a barcode and tap 'Decode'.

View the barcode data

The barcode is split into its component parts.

The application number is displayed under 'App' along with the corresponding data from the barcode under 'Data'.

Note

As of release 5.8.0, all the possible values from the different barcode types in the sequence are now displayed in the results list. The app no longer stops at the first successful decode.

Tap 'Log' to view the steps that have been taken to decode the barcode from start to finish.

View the decoding log

The log will display decoding steps with either a red cross (where there has been a decoding error) or a green tick (where decoding has been successful).

If the full information is truncated on the screen for a particular row (as displayed by the chevron on the right of the screen) then you can tap on the row to view the full information.
