Sort configuration

The sequence that the items in a list screen will be sorted can be controlled by entering a suitable sequence of fields, which can be sorted in either ascending or descending order.

Note

Only one structure is available, as standard, for sorting per screen. This is known as the ‘primary’ structure. However, with enhancement, is it possible to add other structures.

To view the structures for a transaction, go to transaction /TCTM/WM_AMD_DTYPES and enter the transaction code to view. In the report, you can see the transaction, field in the AMD, a prefix, the structure available and the app number.

A structure without a prefix is the primary structure.

The below screen shows a WM stock enquiry list, to be sorted by bin (ascending), material (ascending), storage type (ascending) and quantity (descending).
