# RFC Connectivity

The RFC connection provides connectivity of the CodingControl™ services to the client or customers SAP system to allow the bi-directional flow of order, material or processing data.

:information\_source: As part of the RFC connection process and depending on SAP system requirements relating to the ae support of external gateway registration on the SAP system there may be a need to update the SAP gateway access into the system to enable specific server connectivity to the SAP system.

**This can be maintained by BASIS team using transaction SMGW.**
