# Plugins

CodingControl™ Supplier plugins are a software component that adds specific features and enables customization and configuration.

Works in conjunction with CodingControl™ service to provide additional device or manufacturer specific configuration.

Features such as file drop off and pick up locations can be configured as well as file polling or data update configuration.

Offers support for specific file extensions to enable communication as the system recognizes and has association with file types and names.

Provides additional framework to support device specific analytical information that can then be utilized.

**--Activation--**

To implement and activate a plugin all associated files must be placed in the provided CodingControl Plugin folder.

Once CodingControl services and applications must me closed or stopped and restarted, the new plugin should then appear in the left hand panel of the configuration application.&#x20;

Depending on the plugin some additional configuration options will potentially be available, these will need to be configured dependent on specific requirements.

Any values updated will need to be saved before changes take affect.
