# Windows Configuration Service

The CodingControl configuration application acts and the main connection hub between manufacturing and the SAP instance.

The Service itself once installed as default contains the available configuration elements:

**--SAP--**

This is the connection type that will be used to exchange information with the SAP system.\

**--RFC Server--**

All connection details relating to the RFC Server that will be used during data exchange and processing during production activity.\
\
**--RFC Client--**

Credentials configured if processing onto system is to be carried out using specific client \ user details when processing data.\
\
**--Database--**

Configured ODBC connection details to selected SQL server data source, the ‘Data source table’ and ‘key field’ used to ensure correct data processed.\
\
**--Data Secure Login--**

Login credentials for SQL server.\
\
**--Log Display settings--**

Customer Configurable message display settings.\
\
**--Log Archive settings--**

Customer configurable log or data archive file settings.

:information\_source: In order to ensure continual connectivity to both the ODBC database and defined SAP system a specific service can also be defined. This will then support the automatic posting and management of all data processed by CodingControl automatically.&#x20;
